B02964 is Castle's premium pilot hole bit that now comes standard with all Castle Pocket Cutters. Its Brad and Spur tip tracks well, while taking aggressive "bites" of wood that keep the bit cooler.  A thin layer of Titanium Nitrite (TiN)  provides a thermal and lubricative barrier that protects the steel underneath. It is actually harder than carbide and the 3 micron coating doesn't affect cutting ability or characteristics. In field tests conducted by heavy volume woodworkers, we found this bit to have up to three times the cutting life of our other drill bits.

B00964 is a 9/64" bit with a Brad Point tip that tracks well in all kinds of materials and is suitable for the majority of your pocket cutting needs.  This bit is best used with a #7 screw and offers a slip fit for easy screw insertion.

B01964 is a 9/64" drill bit that has a Split Point instead of a Brad Point.  It is useful when drilling along an extremely tough grain pattern. This bit is also best used with a #7 screw and offers the same slip fit as the B00964 for easy screw insertion.

 

B00764 is a 7/64" split point drill bit. A #7 screw is recommended for this drill bit.  Using a #7 screw in a 7/64" hole offers a very snug fit and requires a driver for screw insertion.

 

B00316 is a 3/16" bit which is best used with a #8 screw in softer woods and melamine. With the #8 screw the 3/16" hole offers a slip fit for easy screw insertion.

B00338 is a 3/8" solid carbide, three flute rough mill cutter. This bit is the best choice for all your Castle Pocket needs and comes standard with every pocket cutter. It works well in both hard and soft woods, leaving a clean, splinter free pocket. It also holds up well when cutting MDF, melamine, laminates and other composite materials.  This bit will last three to five times longer than other rough mills. The geometry of this bit is engineered specifically for use with our machines and will deliver superior performance and durability.  (Formerly RM-38C)

High Speed Cobalt Router Bit
An economical bit for your solid wood creations.

B00438 is a 4-flute, high speed cobalt 3/8" rough mill bit. Used with solid woods, the curved cutting edges and shallow helix allow it to shear as it cuts, using less force and producing less heat. The geometry of this bit is engineered specifically for use with our machines and will deliver superior performance and is a replacement for the B00038 (RM-38). Works great in hardwoods and acrylics.

The 30 Express and LB-30 use quick-release bit holders to speed up transitions between fully drilled lines, and partially drilled lines or skipped sections.  Pattern drilling is quicker and easier than with any comparable drill on the market. Replace bit holders that get lost or damaged while out of the machine. Bit not included.
